Service Fees

Here are some frequently asked questions about the medical interpretation services provided by the Japan Medical Interpreting Academy.

The approximate fee for medical interpretation for a single consultation ranges from ¥13,200 to ¥19,800.

For more extensive appointments, such as comprehensive medical checkups or cancer screenings that take half a day to a full day, the fee ranges from ¥19,800 to ¥52,800.

The fees differ depending on whether the appointment is in the morning, afternoon, or spans four hours including the lunch period. To provide an accurate estimate, we require the confirmed date and time of the appointment.

The following are included in the service:

  • English ⇔ Japanese medical interpretation
  • Transportation costs for the medical interpreter
  • Interpretation from reception through consultation to payment
  • Consumption tax (VAT)

    • Please make the payment at least 7 days in advance.

    There are three payment methods available:

  • PayPal (Credit Card)
  • PayPay
  • Bank Transfer

  • Up to 10 days before: 10% of the fee
  • Up to the day before: 50% of the fee
  • Up to 3 hours before the scheduled time: 100% of the fee
